BJJ For Women
One of the main underpinnings of the sport of BJJ is the concept of 'maximum efficiency with minimal effort'. It is a sport which enables a smaller, weaker person to reliably overcome a bigger, stronger opponent using leverage and proper technique.
Well beyond this, however, BJJ transcends the sporting and self defense practices of immobilizing one's opponent and applying chokes and joint locks. BJJ itself becomes a way of life for many who step into the grappling world. Training develops their physical, mental and spiritual strength and seeks to create an atmosphere of self-discovery, personal growth and self-expression, through physical movement and fitness.
For these reasons BJJ as a sport and as a lifestyle is highly recommended, in particular for women, who are interested in targeting body, mind and spirit:
Increase your fitness levels and work towards those abs you always wanted
Have a wicked and fun time doing it- in a relaxed, friendly and safe environment
Gain the practical skills of self defense
Increase your self-confidence, levels of self-esteem and become addicted the new healthy lifestyle you have adopted
Slug it out with the boys - take part in competitions - and show people who's boss!!
