Bio


Pedro Pacheco Fernandes is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with over 18 years of training experience.

Pedro started training at the Ataque Duplo Academy in 1990. He was champion of the Brazilian state of Santa Catalina in 1994 & 1995, and South Brazilian champion in 1996 & 1997. An instructor since 1993, Pedro was awarded his black belt in 2002 by Professor Antônio Cláudio “Tonicão” Collares Moreira.

Pedro still actively competes, most recently winning the Black Belt Medium-Heavyweight Nogi division at the prestigious Pan-Pacific Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships 2010. This achievement earned Pedro a mention in GracieMag International as a standout performer at the event.

Class Information

Our training sessions are conducted at our new, spacious studio in the CBD. The classes have numerous blue, purple and brown belts in addition to beginners, providing for a very high quality training environment.

We dedicate ourselves to providing the highest quality training available, based on an authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu curriculum and sports kinesiology. We continually keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and evolution of the art from Brazil and internationally, and impart this knowledge to our members.
